چکیده

We argue that string percolation is in the origin of i) an approximately flat rapidity distribution and of ii) an approximately constant forward-backward correlation parameter b over a substantial fraction of the available rapidity. Predictions are given for pp collisions at LHC, √ s = 14TeV and √ s = 5.5TeV.

Long-range multiplicity correlations in proton-proton collisions

The forward-backward long-range multiplicity correlations in proton-proton collisions are investigated in the model with two independent sources of particles: one leftand one right-moving wounded nucleon. A good agreement with the UA5 collaboration proton-antiproton data at the c.m. energy of 200 GeV is observed. For comparison the model with only one source of particles is also discussed. PACS...

Measurements of long-range near-side angular correlations in √sNN=5 TeV proton-lead collisions in the forward region

Article history: Received 10 December 2015 Received in revised form 27 September 2016 Accepted 30 September 2016 Available online 6 October 2016 Editor: W.-D. Schlatter Two-particle angular correlations are studied in proton-lead collisions at a nucleon–nucleon centre-ofmass energy of √sNN = 5 TeV, collected with the LHCb detector at the LHC. The analysis is based on data recorded in two beam c...

Long-range rapidity correlations in heavy ion collisions at strong coupling from AdS/CFT

We use AdS/CFT correspondence to study two-particle correlations in heavy ion collisions at strong coupling. Modeling the colliding heavy ions by shock waves on the gravity side, we observe that at early times after the collision there are long-range rapidity correlations present in the two-point functions for the glueball and the energymomentum tensor operators. We estimate rapidity correlatio...

Studies of Onia and Strangeness Production in Proton-proton Collisions at LHCb

Studies of strangeness and quarkonia production in the forward region provide important input to the understanding of QCD models in a kinematic range where they have large uncertainties. The LHCb experiment has collected a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 3 fb−1 in proton-proton collisions at √ s = 7 and 8 TeV, as well as smaller samples recorded with other LHC operati...

مطالعه تولید منحصر بفرد جفت پایونهای مثبت و منفی در برخوردهای پروتون-پروتون با مرکز جرم 7 ترا الکترون ولت

The exclusive production of charged pions, are reported in the proton-proton collisions, where the π+π- pair is emitted at the central rapidity, y, and the scattered protons stay intact (p) without detection. This measurement is performed with the CMS detector at the LHC, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 450 μb-1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of  7 TeV. Th...
